During the Farnborough aeronautical show, a Mirage 2000 disappears in the middle of a demonstration. The French military sends Captains Antoine Marchelli and Sébastien Vallois out on patrol over the North Sea, towards the zone where the Mirage disappeared off the radar screens. The pilots discover the plane concealed by an Airbus A340. The Mirage begins to lock into combat position. At the same time, Marchelli and Vallois receive the order to give up the chase without further delay. But it's too late, the Mirage is about to shoot down Vallois; Marchelli shoots it down to protect his crew member. This incident is the starting point of an enormous set-up aimed at hijacking a French fighter plane for terrorist purposes. A set-up whose final act takes place on the 14th of July in the skies above Paris, over the Champs-Elysées, in the presence of the same two pilots, Marchelli and Vallois.

Gladiator 2 is the highly-anticipated sequel to Ridley Scott's 2000 period epic, Gladiator, starring Russell Crowe as the fierce Maximus. The actor stars as King Louis XV in the French-language film "Jeanne du Barry," his first onscreen role since his and ex-wife Amber Heard's defamation trial. The first trailer for the historical drama, which dropped on Wednesday, shares the first look at Depp acting in French in his portrayal of the 18th century monarch. The film follows the story of Jeanne, the last royal mistress of France. According to its synopsis, the title character "uses her intelligence and allure to climb the rungs of the social ladder one by one. She becomes the favorite of King Louis XV who, unaware of her status as courtesan, regains through her his appetite for life."

Persepolis is the poignant story of a young girl in Iran during the Islamic Revolution. It is through the eyes of precocious and outspoken nine year old Marjane that we see a people's hopes dashed as fundamentalists take power
- forcing the veil on women and imprisoning thousands. Clever and fearless, she outsmarts the "social guardians" and discovers punk, ABBA and Iron Maiden. Yet when her uncle is senselessly executed and as bombs fall around Tehran in the Iran/Iraq war, the daily fear that permeates life in Iran is palpable.

As she gets older, Marjane's boldness causes her parents to worry over her
continued safety. And so, at age fourteen, they make the difficult decision to send her to school in Austria. Vulnerable and alone in a strange land, she endures the typical ordeals of a teenager. In addition, Marjane has to combat being equated with the religious fundamentalism and extremism she fled her country to escape. Over time, she gains acceptance, and even experiences love, but after high school she finds herself alone and horribly homesick.

Though it means putting on the veil and living in a tyrannical society, Marjane decides to return to Iran to be close to her family. After a difficult period of adjustment, she enters art school and marries, all the while continuing to speak out against the hypocrisy she witnesses. At age 24, she realizes that while she is deeply Iranian, she cannot live in Iran. She then makes the heartbreaking decision to leave her homeland for France, optimistic about her future, shaped indelibly by her past.
