The Netflix Series "From Me to You: Kimi ni Todoke," a joint production from TV Tokyo and Netflix, will start streaming worldwide from Thursday, 30 March, 2023, only on Netflix. This series is based on one of manga artist Karuho Shiina's most well-known works, which was serialized in Bessatsu Margaret (published by Shueisha) from 2006 to 2017 and won the Best Shojo Manga award at the 32nd Annual Kodansha Manga Award.
First-year high school student Sawako Kuronuma finds it hard to fit in with her classmates and is mockingly nicknamed “Sadako” because of her long black hair and pale skin. As she lives her lonely school life, she meets a boy who talks to her and doesn't care about the rumors. His name is Shota Kazehaya, and he is the most popular student in his class, loved by everyone for his cheerful personality. 19-year-old college student Fumi (Tori Matsuzaka) finds 10-year-old Sarasa (Suzu Hirose) soaking wet alone in the rain at a park and offers her his umbrella. Realizing that she's not comfortable returning home Fumi offers to let her stay at his place. They live together for two months until Fumi is arrested for kidnapping. Fifteen years later the two meet again as they are both suffering the stigma related to being the victim and perpetrator of the supposed kidnapping.

Mana (Yukino Kishii) became good friends with Sumire (Minami Hamabe) and the two remained close for years. Mana admired Sumire's carefree and easygoing attitude, which contrasted to her own reserved and shy nature. However, Sumire broke off contact with Mana and the two parted ways. After Mana learns that Sumire passed away she has a difficult time letting go and goes on a trip to discover more about her friend.

After causing a major incident, police officer Daigo Agawa takes his wife Yuki and daughter Mashiro to live in the remote mountain village of Kuge.
