When you think of a dog, usually a Labrador springs to mind… When you think of James Bond, usually Pierce Brosnan springs to mind. He introduced Ian Fleming’s legendary character to many 90’s and early 2000’s kids alike, with four hugely entertaining outings as the British Agent. He embodied the role, and maybe reached a level of physical iconography akin to Sean Connery himself. Tomorrow Never Dies (1997) is my personal favourite of his tenure.

2002 Aston Martin Vanquish. The Vanquish used in Die Another Day marked Bond's return in 2002 to the Aston Martin brand after several films in which he drove cars from, oddly enough, Germany's BMW.

THE WORLD IS NOT ENOUGH opens with the longest pre-credit sequence in 007 history, lasting 14 minutes and features James Bond (Pierce Brosnan) in the Q Boat in high speed pursuit down the River Thames in London.
Captured by six different cameras, the boat’s mid-air barrel roll was performed by stuntman Gary Powell using Vickers air mortars attached to the side of the boat. The Q Boat is a custom-built vehicle with a V8 engine offering up 300bhp, designed by engineer and boat builder, Doug Riddle.
THE WORLD IS NOT ENOUGH premiered in 1999 and was directed by Michael Apted with Desmond Llewelyn as Q, as seen in this scene.

Hate to get sentimental, but I remember watching Casino Royale as a little tyke on my PSP back in '06. Only last year in 2021, did Daniel Craig finally hand in the Walther PPK as James Bond, in the excellent No Time To Die. He became the longest running actor in the role, covering my childhood, teenage and now young adult years. Producers Barbara Brocolli and Michael G. Wilson went all-out with Daniel Craig's interpretation, emphasising his Bond's arc with interconnected storylines across five films. I think it'll be nearly impossible for another actor to come in now and rival Craig's work. With the character's heart-wrenching death in No Time To Die, this truly DOES feel like the end of an era... So here's to 60 Years of Bond... James Bond.

The longest running film franchise of all time, the Bond 50 collection marks the debut of nine James Bond films previously unavailable in high definition Blu-ray. Acclaimed Bond directors John Glen (five Bond films including For Your Eyes Only, Octopussy, A View to a Kill, The Living Daylights & Licence To Kill), Martin Campbell (GoldenEye, Casino Royale) and Michael Apted (The World Is Not Enough) with special guests Olga Kurylenko (Quantum of Solace) and Caterina Murino (Casino Royale) made the Blu-ray announcement today during a Directors' Panel discussion in the Panasonic Booth at the annual Consumer Electronics Show.
BOND 50 showcases fifty years of Bond neatly packaged into one cool, sleek collectable box-set featuring all six iconic James Bond actors. Produced using the highest possible picture quality and audio presentation, the collection includes all 22 James Bond feature films from Dr. No to Quantum of Solace and more than 130 hours of bonus features including some new and exclusive content.
"With all 22 feature films available on Blu-ray in one collection for the first time this is a great way for fans to catch up on 007's epic journey before Skyfall hits theaters next Fall," said Michael Brown, Senior Vice President, MGM Home Entertainment. "Now viewers can enjoy the intense action of the innovative franchise in the most immersive home experience possible."
"We have a whole program of exciting activities planned for our 50th anniversary year, beginning with today's announcement, by Fox, of the release of all 22 films on Blu-ray for the very first time,'' added Michael G.
