Tom Holland has long been considered a top contender to portray Ben Tennyson in a live-action adaptation, with fan-made concept trailers championing him for the role. Among the various Ben 10 storylines, Alien Force seems to be the best fit for Holland. In some ways, Ben Tennyson shares similarities with Peter Parker. Both characters are young heroes burdened with the responsibility of saving the world from dangerous villains, making the role somewhat familiar territory for Holland. Following the success of Spider-Man: Homecoming, where Holland was praised for capturing the complexities of a young hero with overwhelming responsibilities, he’s proven he can thrive in this type of role. However, Ben 10: Alien Force has a much darker tone. With its more intricate plot, fewer comedic moments, and the willingness to kill off characters, it marks a shift from the lighter, more heroic portrayals Holland has been known for thus far.

Although he’s set to lead several major films, including Uncharted, Holland has shown a growing interest in grittier narratives, as seen in projects like The Devil All the Time and Cherry. A Ben 10: Alien Force adaptation could serve as the perfect blend of the lighter superhero roles he's excelled in and the darker, more complex characters he’s eager to explore. The franchise comes with a built-in fanbase, and the source material was considered challenging and sophisticated when it first aired. While plans for a live-action adaptation currently seem dormant, should they move forward, Holland would be an excellent choice to lead the project.

Hollywood's usual practices indicate that John Wick 5 should happen sooner rather than later, but a new update for the sequel has left me expecting otherwise. The discussions about John Wick 5 materialized shortly after John Wick: Chapter 4's release, which saw it earn critical acclaim and break box office records for the franchise. Typically, this would mean that Lionsgate would waste no time announcing another movie. John Wick 4's ending and the apparent death of John Wick (Keanu Reeves) complicated the idea of making a sequel, but I was still convinced that it would happen relatively quickly.

Reeves and franchise director Chad Stahelski have maintained there is potential for John Wick 5 to happen, although neither of them appear to be in any rush to make it. This sentiment has now carried over to reporting about John Wick 5's filming start date. While some rumors suggested that Reeves, Stahelski, and others would come back for the fifth installment sometime in 2025, those claims have now been debunked.
