Wong Jing is now known as the "crazy man of Hong Kong cinema" with a huge range of action, comedy, and erotic films to his credit as writer, director, producer, and actor. But when he started out at Shaw Studio, he was exploring his possibilities, and this was his very first modern day adventure drama. He took no chances. In addition to writing and directing, he cast majestic superstar Ti Lung as a noble, medicine-smuggling anti-hero in the best traditions of Humphrey Bogart. The hired killers of the title are equally impressive: Chen Hui-min (Five Element Ninja), Wang Lung-wei (the king of Shaw Brothers' screen villains), Lo Lieh (Shaw Brothers' first international star), and Wang Yu (Dirty Ho) -- all under the guidance of three great kung-fu choreographers, led by Tang Chia. They are forced to try killing Thailand's number one assassin, but that's just the start of their battles in this all-star action shocker.
