Synopsis - A Vietnam vet comes home to his small town and finds himself in conflict with rules that his brother has vowed to uphold.

Very underrated film from the early 90’s, though it was shot to look and feel like a 70’s movie which is probably why I like it so much. It’s a slow burn for sure, but even two decades after first seeing this film I still find myself thinking about it - the brother’s relationship is truly affecting and Viggo’s performance still haunts me. It’s filled with authentic moments and the cast is literally perfect. I think Sean Penn really crafted something masterful, I wish it was better recognized.
