Salute the Movie UK Trailer

A simple act of defiance by Tommie Smith, Peter Norman & John Carlos became the defining moment of the 1968 Mexico Olympic Games and provided one of the most iconic images of all-time. Having run a world-record breaking 200m final, these three men sacrificed their personal glory on the world stage to give a voice to millions who were being discrimination against and brutalised by oppressive regimes around the world. This is their incredible story.

Embargoed! were honoured to be at the UK premiere of Salute and to meet Dr Tommie Smith in person. As the battle for human rights continues, for Turkish Cypriots and many others around the world, we urge you all to go see this film and be inspired as we were. The film is released across the UK from 13 July 2012.
