Wendy and Andy (Alison Steadman and Jim Broadbent) and their twin daughters (Jane Horrocks and Claire Skinner) live in North London. One daughter is a spitting bulimic, while the other is set to flee the nest to America. In the middle of this everyday family chaos is Wendy, a picture of cheery survival.

Written and directed by Mike Leigh (Secrets & Lies, Happy-Go-Lucky), and also starring Stephen Rea, Timothy Spall and David Thewlis.
