Yakuza and The Family covers the life of a yakuza family from 1999 to 2019. After Kenji Yamamoto's (Gou Ayano) father died due to an overdose of a stimulant, Kenji joined a yakuza organization out of desperation. The gang's boss, Hiroshi Shibasaki (Hiroshi Tachi), takes Kenji in and they develop a relationship like that of a father and son. As time passes by Kenji creates his own family.
